Show #14-Fix it or lose it?

Hi,

I think we should chat a bit about what happens when your PC just won't work. Maybe it is your laptop or digital camera.

I responded to a few questions that were sent in via email to the show.
The first was in response to Adware and Spyware. Yuk! The user was asking what to do to avoid either of these on their Windows XP OS computer. So I checked out two software sites Webroot Spy Sweeper
and Sunbelt Software.
These were two easy to use affordable Spyware management tools for your pc.
Sunbelt's Counter Spy V.2 was around $20.00 for one pc. Integrated nicely with Windows Vista.
Kernel level protection as well as scan and remove on boot utility.
Webroot has free customer support with a purchase of their Spysweeper product. $29.95 for one pc.
Both of these products are Windows compatible.

These were the base requirements for both products, see below.

Minimum System Requirements

  • Windows 2000, Vista (32 bit versions of Home Basic, Premium, Business, or Ultimate), or XP (32 bit versions of Professional, Home, Media Center, or XP Tablet)
  • 300 Mhz processor
  • 100 MB hard drive space
  • 256 MB RAM
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher or FireFox 2.0 or higher for connecting to the Webroot web site.
  • Download Size: 12.4 MB
