Show #5-Recap.....

Hi,

Thanks to everyone for their support yesterday. We did not get to hear much from Scott bc he was running around playing IT dude. We have been trying to record our shows over the last few weeks and guess what....we did it! Well Scott did it. I can't take any credit except for the part where I handed him a paper clip to eject the cd out of the tray.

We drove home and listened to the show. Very cool. It is hard to listen to yourself however I am very excited to have an archive of the work we are doing.

Ok we played songs from the upcoming Midtown Dickens cd "Oh Yell!". This cd will be in stores on May 15th. You can order it online at www.307knoxrecords.com. It will also be available in the future for download on many sites including iTunes, eMusic and Rhapsody.

We chatted a bit about laptops below are some links:

Show #2 Topics, Blogs and Play List

Hi,

So we chatted for a while yesterday about Blogs, V-logs and Photo Blogs. A good show. We had 4 callers. Good questions, good topic. We most likely will hit this topic again because it is so vast.

We touched on blogs we liked or used as examples:

Karen Mann's-mannsworld-local to the triangle music blog
Wonkette-the DC gossip blog
Tech Notes Radio-our blog-we post show topics, play lists and more
Drudge Report-Matt Drudge's blog
Talking Points Memo-Joshua Micah Marshall's blog
Rocket Boom-Three minute daily videoblog based in NYC, wide range of information
ZeFrankcom-A blog that has many cool, informing links
Youtube-many videos
Little Green Footballs-Anti-idiotarian Headquarters (with a cool t-shirt)
Warblogs Salam Pax-also published a book, link below
Salam Pax
Group Blogs-Boing Boing

We chatted a bit about some folks worrying that bloggers(everyday users) might not respect copyright or larger media firms and don't present 'true' news. However, everyday users were named as the person of the year in 2006 Time magazine's issue because of the mass amount of contributions made to media, etc. Person of the the year was "you".
