Show #2 topic-Blogs, Vlogs and Photo Blogs!!! Sunday April 15th 12:00-1:00 pm

Hi,

So we will cover Blogs, Vlogs and Photoblogs on Sunday. A vast and exciting subject.

See cool Blog info below:

Check out Google Blogs you can search through thousands of Blogs!

What are blogs? Vlogs? Photoblog? Podcast?
A blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.

Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic.

The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of most early blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network of social media.
(definition from Wikipedia)

The Drudge Report is an example of a well established money making blog.

Drudge Report
The Drudge Report is a U.S.-based news website run by Matt Drudge. The site consists primarily of links to stories from the US and international mainstream media about politics, entertainment, and current events as well as links to many popular columnists. Occasionally Drudge authors a story of his own. The Report originated around 1994 as a weekly subscriber-based email dispatch. It is most famous for being the first news source to break the Monica Lewinsky scandal to the public.

Yahoo and drying my hair

Hi,

So every morning when I head out to work, I roll the windows down to dry my hair. Rolling at about 35-50 miles per hour. I can dry it. However today after days of warm air it was like 50. Burrrr. Which made it a bit much. It is my hair routine. What's yours? I also do this while listening to something cranked way up. Today I was listening to The Moaners new record. My fav cut is Foxy Brown. Bc she could kick it and you, with a bar stool while pulling a pistol out of her afro. I saw the movies. I know.

Count down to Show #1. I told my Mom last night and she wants to listen. She will call in with her questions to. Which will be loaded I am sure.

What's going down today?

Bull's opening game tonight.
Reviewing our show outline. Bc I should be ready.
Planning big plans
Listening to my iPod playlist called 'i lost my job, now get out of my way'
Planning a trip to the Zoo
Thinking about powdered toast man
Thinking about eggs

...and you?

Training Day!

Hi,

So we trained today with Bob. It was really, really awesome. The booth is in
the drive-thru window part of an old bank. So your looking out the window that has
the draw to pass money out. The old microphone still hangs over it. There is a neon cactus
in the window now.

Our training went well. Bob was great. We played a few CDs, a record and took a phone call. That was my favorite part because of the strobe light that goes off. Fun.

We had some time to play with stuff. Scott has a hot voice through the microphone. I have a cold voice. Thanks to the VU monitors.

Ok first show? April 8th 12:00 noon-1:00 pm. Tune into 103.6 WCOM.

More to come,
Mel T.

Elton John and that is Sir to you!

Hi,

Since I can remember my parents have been big EJ fans. Before he was Sir. Before he let the world really know who he was. Go EJ! Can you imagine playing Madison Square Garden (The Garden) for your 60th? Having played there over 5 dozen times prior. I think he might hold the record forever.

I know the Garden well. I saw lots of things there over the years. Like my first concert...Van Halen, baby!!!! It was 80 something....like 84. Whew. No age guessing please. However it seems when I hear EJ songs I can't help but think about my parents heading out to the Garden to see EJ in the days of heels, boas, bling-sunglasses and the high-couture of the Lady Liberty costume. I would have loved it!!! I saw EJ in MD with Billy Joel. Good but not the over the top EJ. His songs continue to be timeless. Even if your not a fan you might want to reconsider. If only for the costumes of years gone by.

TGIF. Scott's truck got here. Thanks to A for getting it filled.

Saturday is training day...we will report back.

Sunday 9:00 am is doughnuts, coffee and unloading of the truck.
Sunday 2:00 pm we are off to the Nasher.
Sunday 5:00 pm we leave the short-stack with Scott and Kym 'Dynamo'.
Sunday 5:01 pm we celebrate 9-yrs.
Happy April Fool's day.

Next time let's talk Queen. Another of my parents favs.
My favorite song 'Bicycle Race' thank god for 'Fat Bottomed Girls'. RIP Eddie M.

Cheers,
Mel t.

Training date 3/31/2007

Hi,

So we will be training at WCOM on 3/31. It is a two hour deal. Should be loads of fun. I am sure we will take notes and photos. Which we will share with everyone. This way should we forget what we are doing there will be a reference point later.

Scott is back with the dogs, Canela (I think that's with a C, it was early) and Blue. They are the sweetest dogs ever. They did so good on their big adventure to NC from CA. I think they like their new house too. It was kind of like they had been there.
I think by this weekend we should be all rested and caught up.

Scott's truck of stuff should be getting here soon. The unpacking time is near.

Ok fun things for you:

www.9poundchihuahua.com--record reviews, coming soon!
www.tadalist.com-a great place to make a list and share it!
